Yes, I'm finally doing the Peeps baskets! I'm sure a lot of you were wondering when these would hit the Peepdown. Have no fear, Peeps baskets are here! Finally you have a proper container to fill up with all the Peeps goods you've been collecting. They come in 4 different colors, both in chicks and bunnies, and in 3 different sizes. They're soft, plush, fuzzy, and damn near impossible to resist. Some of the baskets, like this one I got for $3 from Larry's Hare of Zern's, are gift sets. That means they come with a bonus pack of Peeps. There's prepacked sets, too, which some with candies and pens and what have you. The prepackaged sets are a little harder to come by. I feel bad kids that get premade Easter baskets. They often contain very lit tel candy and really shitty Dollar Store quality prizes. There's never any good variety like peanut butter and Cadbury eggs like you'd find in a homemade basket.
So don't be a cheapass. Get a Peeps basket and some Peeps candies and throw some jelly beans and pastel M&Ms in there, too. It's Easter. The whole holiday for kids centers around hunting for eggs and eating candy. I'm still waiting to find Peeps plastic eggs. That's what I really need for the ultimate egg hunt. I loved egg hunts as a kid, but was cursed with constant failure at them. I believe egg hunts attributed to my first realization that adults don't always know what they're talking about. While egg-hunting in my youth, I was continually whispered to by my parents to run all the way to the end area of the eggs and collect from there. This strategy was based on the assumption that most children would collect the first eggs they saw. Unfortunately this gameplay was leaked and I came to realize this was something 90% of parents told their children. Once I figured this out I disregarding my parents warnings. Once I began grabbing every egg I passed the hunt became much greater as I laughed at the foolish children racing violently towards the back of the fields. I finished collecting my trophies without breaking a sweat and was much closer to returning back to count my winnings. Fools. All of them. Peeping fools.
