Lookout lollipop lovers! Peeps have taken over the RingPop and the PushPop and make it Peep-ified! That's right, now all you fans that love Peeps but hate marshmallows have something new to try. These are spreading across grocery stores all over the US, and they're selling out quick. The shapes are cute, the candy is tasty, and the packaging it Peep-a-riffic.
The Peeps Lollipop rings come in 2-packs each with a strawberry and a marshmallow flavored pop. Instead of having a large gem on top, these rings are adorned with tiny Peeps-shaped candies. The marshmallow was pretty disappointing, and had less flavor than a cup of plain gelatin. The strawberry was okay, but no where near as rich and wild as strawberries can get.
Here we have three of the Peeps Push Pop by Flix candy. I only had the Blue Raspberry, but I'll tell you it was fantastic. It was full of concentrated blue sugar, leaving your tongue, teeth, and uvula coated blue. It was like a concentrated Blue Raspberry Sno-Cone. The containers are amazingly cute, each one topped with a little Peep figure. Heck, they even smell delicious. The lollipop is resealable, but gets stuck afterwards. Like all Push Pops, I'm kind of amazed there isn't more of a chocking hazard on these things. But at least the Peeps ones are spring-loaded to fly down your throat. But hey, maybe some people are into that kind of thing. -Mystie
