There seems to be a new Peeps shape coming to town, and that's the Peeps Egg. First we have the flavored eggs that come in orange, strawberry, and vanilla cream. They each come speckled with shiny flakes of colored sugar. The flavor in them is pretty potent, and I can't stand eating more than 3 in a sitting. They get pretty sickening after that, and I have no desire for puking up strawberry marshmallow soup. The other Peeps eggs are in the Egg Decorating Kit. The decorating kits are available for every major holiday in shapes like pumpkins and Christmas trees. One essential problem with the egg kits is that they only come with one color icing tube. You have to either get 3 or 4 kits and mix colors or buy extra tubes of gel to get multicolored eggs. I can't imagine why you'd need to get so fancy with decorating marshmallows unless you're making hors d'oeuvres for some kind of weird party. In that case, invite me. I'll bring the Peeps S'mores. I feel obligated now to decorate some Peeps Eggs for you all. Very well.
