I almost overlooked this item at Target because it was neither Peeps-shaped nor vibrantly displaying the Peeps logo. In fact, they had many Paint Bucket kits, but this one just happens to be a Peeps item. It's a rather ingenious idea. Fill a spiffy looking paint can with some cheap shit and slap a $12 price sticker on it. If this didn't come with Peeps, I'd have never bought one. Eh, screw the paint bucket. I can make my own Peeps S'mores for cheaper
Box of Graham crackers - $1.12 Cost for 12 Peeps S'mores - $3.58
Here's what you do. Split a graham cracker in half, put a half a Hershey bar on it, put a Peep on top, and nuke it on HIGH for 10 seconds. Put the other half of the graham cracker on top and you have your Just Desserts. I chose the white Peeps for more of a "traditional" feel, but you can go crazy with pink and blue if you want.The Peeps S'mores are delicious. I thought they'd be really grainy because of the sugar coating, but they're really not. I don't know how well this would work in one of your fancy S'more making machines, but hey, have a blast finding out.
I'm one that typically enjoys my 'mallows charred on the outside. The only way for me to accomplish this would be to bring my Peep above a lighter, and that didn't seem like such a hot idea. I've had too many close calls as far as nearly burning the house down goes. And with a bo that was once a firefighter, I can only imagine the mocking I'd get from the overgrown smartass if I so much as scorched my pinky. I'll just stick with my melty microwaved messes. -Mystie
